Walter Bullwinkel, Jr.
Walter Ernest Bullwinkel, Jr. died peacefully on June 14, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Union County after a long illness. He was born in Jersey City, N.J. on May 22, 1924 to Walter E. Bullwinkel, Sr. and Louise Heise Bullwinkel. He served as an ensign in the US Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II. He was a lifelong garment manufacturing executive, at one time overseeing seventeen factories in Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mexico. He had an abiding love for his family, church, community and country. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Mildred Akehurst Bullwinkel; his second wife, Chloe Dail Bullwinkel; a daughter, Carole D. Bullwinkel; and a grandson, Stephen B. Bullwinkel. He is survived by his children, Bruce A. Bullwinkel (Lois), Kathryn A. Bullwinkel, Gary R. Bullwinkel (Gail); his stepsons, Joseph D. Dail, Jr. (Suzanne) and Carey Dail; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sat., June 23, at First United Methodist Church in New Albany, Miss. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. in Wesley Hall at the church. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that any memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Rhonda Michelle Walker Cope

Rhonda Michelle Walker Cope, 41, of Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on June 17, 2012 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Fri., June 22, at Camak Baptist Church with Pastor Bryant Neal officiating.
Mrs. Cope was born in Jesup, Ga. and made her home in Thomson. She was the daughter of Brenda L. Walker and the late Jack Walker III. She was a loving mother, homemaker and wife of the late Steven Cope, Sr.
Survivors include: sons, Steven Anthony Cope, Jr. and Anthony Tyler Cope; mother, Brenda L. Walker; sister, Theresa L. Cobb Walker and husband Shane; step-brothers, Jack Walker IV and Robert Walker; step-sisters, Valerie Walker and Jeanette Walker; niece, Emily S. Walker; nephews, Austin Walker, Wesley L. Walker; and fiance’, Grady Allen Wood.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thurs., June 21, at the home, located at 178 Starr Hinson Road, Thomson, Ga.

Charles H. Davis
Charles Harmon Davis, 82, of Wrens, Ga., husband of Elizabeth Rogers Davis & father of Wayne, James & Eillen, entered into rest on Tues., June 19, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., June 23, at James Funeral Home Chapel in Wrens. Interment will be in Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Fri., June 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lewis W. Kitson, Jr.
Lewis William Kitson, Jr., 64, of Dearing, Ga., husband of Ann Kitson, died on Sun., June 17, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., June 21, at Curtis Funeral Home Chapel in Thomson. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Jimmy Paul
Jimmy Michael Paul, 50, of Wrens, Ga., son of Sara F. Wooten and the late Durham Paul, entered into rest on Mon., June 18, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., June 21, at James Funeral Home Chapel in Wrens. Interment will be in Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. prior to the service.
