Butch Dent
Fermer “Butch” Corbin Dent, 63, of Bellewood Dr. in Washington, Ga., entered into rest on May 27, 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., June 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Thomson with Rev. John Barnes officiating.
Mr. Dent was a native of Thomson, Ga. and lived in Washington, Ga. for many years. He was the son of the late Hoyt Pearce Dent and the late Marguerite Corbin Dent. Mr. Dent was a 1967 graduate of Thomson High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and later became a physician's assistant serving under Charles Wills, Jr. MD at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dent was employed with Athens Orthopedic Clinic in Athens, Ga. for over 23 years. He was Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his son, Ashley Corbin Dent and wife Karen of Grovetown, Ga.; daughter, Frances Amy McCord and husband Chris; brother, Buz Dent and wife Debbie, all of Thomson; sister, Becky Sue Burnley and husband Bobby of Appling; and grandchildren, Christopher Addison McCord, Hayden Thomas McCord, Ethan William Dent and Emery Elizabeth Dent.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Foundation, 1230 Baxter St., Athens, Ga. 30606 or to the Wounded Warriors’ Project, 1190 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, Ga. 30909.
Friends may call the residence of Amy and Chris McCord, 1502 Cedar Creek Dr., Thomson, Ga. or from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Lisbeth McCants Rhine
Lisbeth Rhine, 42, passed away in Atlanta on Wed., May 23, 2012.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tues., May 29, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery in Avera, Ga. with Rev. Mike Dann officiating.
Lisbeth was born in Columbia, S.C. and lived in Atlanta, Ga. for many years, where she was a tireless animal rights activist and rescuer. Lisbeth was also the Executive Director of EDIN and helped many young women. She is survived by her mother, Kay Rhine Clark.

Myrtice W. Stevens
Myrtice Wolfe Stevens, 89, of Washington, Ga., wife of the late Minton Luke Stevens and mother of Marvin Stevens, died on May 29, 2012.
Graveside services will be held on Thurs., May 31, at 11 a.m. in Resthaven Cemetery.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington is handling the arrangements.
