• Registration starts this Saturday for talent show
By Wayne Parham

James Taylor is ready to get the ball rolling and start taking registrations for the “You Got Talent” competition he plans to sponsor.
Registration begins Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Comfort Inn lobby.
Taylor will have sign-up forms, but participants under the age of 18 need to have a parent come with them to register. The registration fee is $5 and can be paid in cash or by check.
He anticipates holding registration meetings the next couple of Saturdays and hopes to hold the talent contest the last Saturday in March. All ages are welcomed to participate.
“I need to see what kind of response I’m going to get,” he said, while discussing plans for what local venue will host the talent show.
Taylor wants to hold the talent show as a step along the way in his quest to one-day have a performing arts center in Thomas.
