The Thomson Lady Dogs got back on the winning side Friday and Saturday night with wins over Grovetown and Jefferson County.
THS defeated Grovetown 59-32 at home Friday night. The “winning feeling” followed the Lady Dogs on Saturday night as they won 43-32 at Jefferson County High School.
“We went to more scrimmaging in practices and that helped. Asheleigh Burnett, one of our leaders who was out with oral surgery is back, and that helped, too,” said Michael Williams, Lady Dog head coach.
Thomson, 10-7, 3-2, led all four quarters against Grovetown, a region opponent.
“It was a case of players playing their positions as they’ve learned to,” Williams said. “When that happens, good things happen.”
