• Briarwood nets consecutive region wins

The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers were already on the roll when they stepped onto the court to face Piedmont Academy.
Briarwood notched a 55-39 region win Friday night in front of the home crowd. And earlier in the week, on Tuesday, the Buccaneers defeated Monsignor Donovan, 51-39.
In the victory over Piedmont, the Bucs built a lead early and ended the first quarter up 18-3. By the half they led 25-14. In a closer second half, the Buccaneers outscored Piedmont 30-25, to seal the win.
