• Lady Bucs enter week with winning streak

After sweeping both games of the weekend, the Briarwood Academy Lady Bucs were on a nine-game winning streak headed into this week, which features three region games.
The Lady Bucs played at home Tuesday night against Brentwood Schools, but no information of the outcome was available at press time. Friday, the girls host Covenant Academy, then Saturday travel to Windsor Academy.
In the Lady Bucs’s win Saturday at Central Fellowship Christian Academy, the Briarwood girls took an early lead in the opening period of play, 22-10. With two fouls apiece, Tiffany Pate and Rachel Coxwell found themselves on the bench taking a break and Briarwood scoring slowed. The Lady Bucs entered the half leading 27-26.
The Briarwood girls emerged from the locker room and stretched the lead to 44-30 in the third quarter of play, then continued the surge to win by a 53-33 margin.
